Something needed to be done and doing soonest

With ageing population reaching a high 21% by 2026 for the first time being classified by UN as "Super-Aged Society", it's critical to table such an important matter for public discussion.

Already built into 9% GST hike.

Estimated for 3.5 mio X 21/100 = 735,000 age 55 yo and above. - a small number

You may think it's not important to you as you do not need "Free GP" now but reaching age 55 yo, "Free GP" will come handy.

Not only for you, everyone will grow old too.

Note
Those casual workers, unemployed, self employed, and hawker stalls owners reaching 55 yo should be covered too.

Our Govt saves a lot of money by not employing  professional soldiers to further strengthen Singapore's defence like UK and Australia and yet, as you said rightly got nothing free.

Only LifeSG S$200 credit, not cash

So, tell me, is it justified?

Simply go and ask a primary school kid this question and what's his response.

Q. Why so many elderly and sick Singaporeans died alone in HDB flats?

Reply. No money to see a doctor

Good Job!
Do you need to be a genius or highest IQ to know?

Why total silence ?

It's involving present elderly and sick Fella Conrad's HealthCare services as well as your own future wellbeing...

Come on, speak up

When we are 18 we automatically got enlisted to ‘free’ national service for the country so it’s only fair that free medical service be given when we are old. If 55 cannot then 60 can? If 60 country still cannot afford then 65 lah. If we can afford to give freebies to foreigners why cannot give to Singaporeans, especially those who have served NS?

If MAS didn't transfer excess foreign reserves S$75 billion to GIC in 2022, that amounts can cover more than 100 years "Free GP" for those age 55 and above

It's only 21% of Singapore population UN classified Super-Aged Society and proposed 'Free GP" estimated costs S$600 mio a year (I.e. less than 20% of 1% GST)

"The Goods & Services Tax (GST) accounted for the third largest share of IRAS' revenue collection at 20.7% ($16.6 billion), rising by $2.6 billion due to higher consumer spending and the increase in the GST rate.
