I did not even hitchhike.

I was just trying and failing (no cabs at all) to get a cab in the middle of a road somwhere in outskirt (back then is outskirt) Suzhou and a motorcycle with a sidecar stopped in from of me and took me almost to my destination. It broke down on the way and he just waved me off and said I don't have to help. I took a cab from there (that spot much more easier to get a cab).
