Posting this not because it is a major flood but I just want to say something.
I find that whenever floods occur, the rural areas tend to be hit harder than the urban areas (such as floods in Australia, China, USA etc all tend to show this). Which makes sense as urban areas tend to have better infrastructure for flood prevention and flood de-escalation (having drains to drain them etc).
