I have employed maids through these year--thai, indo, pinoy and myarmar and i do agree with you that they are super egoistic, very sensitive -- cannot scold them when done wrong or not in accordance to instruction, super rebellious-- after get scolded, turn the head look up at ceiling, purposely dont do house work until check then she will pretend or said sorry, "forgot to do", super cunning,  but eat up your fridge, use your make up and till empty and throw away and lie etc. I do have indo maid day time using make up and got caught, but in all, i concluded the myarmar maid though can do work, but is the worst of the lots. BTW, they all steal regardless of race

My first and only Myanmar maid kept our family used and completed medicine packets and small ziploc medicine pouch in her room. My spouse caught her and asked her why but she could not explain at all. It is unimaginable that one day she can use it to accuse us of either over dosing her or she can use it to accuse us of ending my own son.

I heard that quite a few Myarmar maids have attitude issues, too.  If they refuse to learn, then the agencies must train them the basics for 2 mths before they start work. No point being politically correct when our Govt neglected the micros to smoothen out the boarding process. For this, MP Gan Siow Huang should find it easy because she is Military and Myarma is also military controlled.

It also depends on the Agent in her village and the agent here, where both can easily teach all the bads. Worse, when they are revengeful and use all the tactics upon her departure.

 No. She never work in Singapore before that is why i took her. Unfortunately her agent in Myarmar was an Ex maid in Singapore before and is giving her all kind of funny advise nightly. Now she is talking with her again. My advice: never take maid from an agent in myarmar who was maid here before. Her name is Yoleina ( something like this) Lin. look very decent when I interviewed my current maid via video and she was there to help in the interview.

In any way, my take is to avoid because they are very cunning. Had discussions with my friends recently who also got Myarmar maids, all said the same things ..... full of problems. they are good at politiking and play games with the employers. Act blur and decide clean or not clean and give all kinds of excuses why things are not done when question. Very cunning, if caught thing not done, she will admit she dint do it because she forgot. Not like other race when things not done but argue they did.

And also look so nice and sweet in front of you but spit on your food when they cooked. one of the friend caught the maid just did this.

Maids are basically untrustworthy. Most have stealing problem regardless of race. and They lie alot. Myarmar maids are cunning but surfaced very early. Basically they are trained in Myarmar by the formal maids and these return maids teach them lots of tricks before they come. Though they are cunning but stupid. they will apply what were learned in the early stage and could be detected easily.

On the other hand Pinoy is smarter to hide and continue milking the employers without them realising.

I just got an exit chit chat with my Burmese maid and she told me the below:

what she had with me in the video interview is taught by her agent there. The agent stood behind the video camera and listen to my questions and signal her the answers. So whatever i request during the interview will be yes, no problem, she is willing etc. THe agent there told her just get to SIngapore first then request for transfer.



How they made the employer return them to the agent: not cooperative, pretend dont know, pretend sick, etc. SO whatever we think that they are stupid is not true. THe truth is they purposely defied our instructions to make us angry , thus transfer or return them to the agent.

This is the most common ploy from maids that i heard from many people. Aren’t they hired to work but for some of them, they just come here to have fun instead. At the end, the unlucky Employers must waste more fees and time to train another maid.

My cousin went to work but always come home to hear the maid blame her everyday

that she did not teach her English, never teach her to cook Chinese Culinary . . . 

So at the end, just sack the maid.
