The alleged leak of the phone conversation surfaced this week, purporting to show a Chinese diplomat and a Filipino admiral discussing a dispute over the South China Sea that saw the Filipino official agreeing to concessions with China.
According to a local media report, the conversation was held in January. The Filipino admiral allegedly agreed to "deescalate tension in Ayungin Shoal (Second Thomas Shoal)" by limiting the number of vessels the Philippines uses for its resupply mission there along with providing prior notice to China.
Besides the controversy over the phone conversation, diplomatic relations came to a head in the past weeks as China kept referencing a "secret agreement" made with the Philippines during the administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte. Under this alleged agreement, Manila apparently promised not to repair or build structures at Second Thomas Shoal in the disputed Spratly Islands, which the Philippines effectively controls.
Teodoro said in a statement that his department was "not aware of, nor is it a party to, any internal agreement with China" since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. took office in 2022.

Phillipines should be better prepared to defend its territory or some powerful aggressor can take it

The Philippines has a very young population who can be soldiers. It can be a proxy war for the US. Based on the current administration, they have succeeded.
The next step is how to link to Taiwan.
At the same time, the Philippines can use 3rd party to squeeze for benefits. These can backfire. The parking of missiles in exchange for the rental of lands.

1962, China went as far as almost reaching New Delhi. Then China withdrew after dealing India a lesson.
In 1979, China also taught Vietnam a lesson after Vietnam attempting to attack and occupy Cambodia. China withdrew after dealing it a lesson.
So, what are you talking about trying to stir up Filipino to provoke China. Philippines can resist China? Don't joke lah and don't show your stupidity talking rubbish.
You know nothing about warfare lah.

Fine $500 for locals, $9,500 for Asian-foreigner. Some more send warning and reminders. You still need the locals to fight it out.

China was already disputing these islands against the Europeans in 1870ties when Philippines wasn't even an country yet

Pinoys are upset and play dirty after China disclosed a recording of the conversation between Chinese diplomat and a Filipino general on concessions on the dispute. The Filipino general involved was now asked to take long vacation.
