To put things in perspective,  Hong Kong population grew by 8% in the same period.

Through sizable foreign human importation, the PAP grew the population by 42% ...inflation surged out of control -COE prices, hawker food, etc

LHL does not want to live in the shadow of his father hence he has been pumping up Spore's gdp by way of steroids - casinos and spiking of population. Unfortunately, just as how steroids usually perform, after the effects die down, the after-effects now hit us and we are stucked with social problems and high costs, something the govt could not overcome but maintain its high spending by taxing us more.

I doubt we grew due to higher birth rates but rather due to super- importation of Foreigners.

People are always confused by this.

SG is not a country. It's a huge corporation run by the Lee family and their cronies.

Population grow at 42% but fertility rate only 1.2+. In no time, Singapore will be flooded with many old people.
