You learn nothing from stat boards so why join them when you're young?

Local SMEs are very tough, no budget to do anything so you've to do everything yourself. May be good training if you're very young.

I shared before how bad Head of HR in Singtel is.

She made the whole company jumping mad.

in local companies bosses are high up, very hard to get close to them, they scold people every morning in daily meeting to ‘motivate’ them and people can’t argue back...in Angmoh MNCs, CEOs, VPs and GMs are very friendly, you can crack joke with them at canteen, they will never scold you, they treat you equally.

in local SME if you are sick and want to take MC your boss will get upset, your performance will be affected. Nobody dares to take leave for the whole year, later HR asks everyone to clear leave towards year end, too late already...all forfeited

No. 1 skills is PLP or polish boots. Stat Board is best place to learn. Start young is best.

I heard those  locally listed companies are bad.

They squeeze every blood out of you so that they can make profits for shareholders.

My friend work for a local SME called Sierra Solutions and was accused. He was forced to resign although the company was sinking.

I guess because Company refused to retrench under the law, so found one of the 3 LOOPHOLES to evade the law.
