Dunt think that’s what they meant, they said ART test is not reliable by swabbing the nose only in the first few days of infection, must swab the throat also.
Swabbing the nose with a rapid antigen test will not reliably detect the Omicron variant in the first few days of an infection, so manufacturers should seek U.S. approval to allow users to safely collect samples from the throat as well, according to an infectious diseases expert.

Correct, there’s incubation period of a week, during this period symptoms will show up and viruses will be detected through tests, however ART may not reliably detect the viruses during this period.
