Main reason is supporters are less educated factory workers who want country to return to pre free trade state 

The NAFTA agreement that created free trade among mexico canada and USA is deeply hated. So is GATT and WTO that allowed China jnto tge trading system.

The rest ofbthe world can continue with the free trade systen but trump will definitely take USA out becauss they really hate and believe they suffered from free trade.

Countries whould not waste time negotiating with US becuause they want out. If you get some extension like Mexico eventually extension also end.

Traders should take advantage of the impending chaos

1. Buy gold because status of US dollar is downhill.
2. Avoid US stocks as foreign investors will leave this market.
