Why are Public Toilets in Thailand So Clean and So Dirty in Spore?
#1

I am amazed how clean the public toilets are in Thailand, dry and neat, No unflushed toilet, no toilet paper or urine on the floor, no footprint on the seats. They are spotless even after use. You may think the cleaners have done a great job, not true leh, Thai people are very clean and well behaved, they never mess around the public toilets, this is something we should learn from them. When I visited rural area outside Chiangmai, I realised even the toilet in village is very clean as if nobody has used it.

While in Spore many public toilets are very wet and dirty, toilet paper are everywhere on the floor. Even for the toilets in the new malls, the toilet seat has footmark on it.

Inflation. Singapore toilet carers should charge :

- S$ 1 per entry and

- charge S$2 for toilet papers.( World's short supply)

So cosmopolitan here in SG, you have so many migrant and related workers from developing and neighbouring countries staying and working here....they could be the main culprits that don't have toilet ethics.

Indeed more efforts must be taken to improve on our public toilets . Some are really smelly and filthy !
