Rainy season. Not many fishermen goes out to sea to fish.Sea too rough plus fear of piracy in the straits of malacca ,singapore straits and probably south china sea.

I think there is not many fishes in the Straits of Malacca, perhaps they should South China Sea to look for fishes....... Clapping

End of year is NE monsoon season. Rough sea and heavy swell. Not many will venture out to fish. Boats may sink in rough weather.

Fishermen are not rich peolple. So I doubt if they can afford to buy bigger boats plus the maintenance cost will be a disincentive factor.
