yes very hard working group of people.
for their hard work and long hours of work they are underpaid.

for a working person taking salary. $2500 for 12 months and 1 month extra at year end. so annual a year he gets 2500*1.17*13 = $38025
14 days mc, 14 days annual leave. 5 days work week. 44 hours per week.

one year work days. 52*5-14-14 = 232 days. if 8 hours roughly then 232 * 8 = 1856 hrs a year.
so a salary worker get about $38025/1856 hr = $20.5

whereas the hardworking riders get $5000 with 9x30 hrs work a month . ie about $5000/270hrs = $18.52 per hr. so food rider not really make good money as well. and the stretch of long hours is 7am to 8pm total 13 hours not 9 hours.

for private hire not much better off as there is a cost elements of car and petrol which is getting more expensive by the weeks. yet almost monopoly platform has increased fee to a total of about 26% fo every $ collected from fare.
what make more sense? taxi driver are slightly better off as their pay are not taken a cut by the platform.
but red cab got bought out. this is a buy and killed strategy that has happen in other industry.
