Why is the government offering S$10 million in grants for coffeeshop

🤑 Why is the government offering S$10 million in grants for coffeeshop operators to clean their toilets?

While acknowledging that enforcement is crucial, the grants incentivise them to do "even better", said Grace Fu.

Another of Singapore’s nightmare buying votes like going on a shopping spree. These 4 or 5 women Ministers are too unstable and whimsical.

and

maybe

may it be....

aplenty of their cronies are coffeshop owners

if you are rich with power

do you help your kakis or punish them

without ethical principle youll help by giving them money which doesnt belong to you

thats the problem when one cant distinguish right and wrong and the money aint theirs

one can find the worlds greatest artiste and gain exclusive rights for him her to perform solely in your own home garden using money which aint yours

sense or nonsense?

Why HDB HIP is not free while private coffee shops toilets are funded by Govt?

why renovate toilets ? why not educate and motivate them to keep a top brand image by maintaining a super clean toilets. If u want to fund the toilet renovation, why not fund the stalls instead? You get a number of people patronising the stalls but not the same number will visit or need to use the toilets. Maybe out of this group everyday, less than 50 will use the toilets.

The govt should fine the owners of the coffeeshops rather than giving them grants. After all this red dot is known as a fine country.

if want something to work then need to put in some money.
use mouth only is talk only.

think they should also put some money to cna channel 8 etc to inculcate good toilets habits. like last time always got campaign for the aim.

same same. toilet clean or not the users also very important. if users stays at ok to wash legs etc in public toilet then floor wet wet then people walk past the dirt all stay iin the toilet.
also if people keep throwing things into the basin not meant for it. choke will happen.
no matter how much renovation or how often clean toilet cannot get a very clean public toilet.
