The United States has zero. The fastest rail system in the U.S. is the Amtrak Acela Express along the Northeast Corridor (NEC), with speeds of up to 150 miles per hour but with averages around 66 mph.24 Aug 2021

the amtrek services from boston to nyc, Philadelphia, and DC is the best that they can have. the rest are quite bad

At an average speed of 66 mph it can hardly considered a high speed rail......

US railway lines were built by Chinese slave labour more than 100 years ago.
Now they need Chinese companies to build modern HSR for them but they are not willing to do so because Chinese people are not willing to be "slave labour" anymore!

china built so many HSR, how many lines make money? 1 or 5? especially now during pandemic & super bad china economy today.
which company in the world today has highest debt? china rail company with $8 trillion debt?
US has economical scale? US is as big as china but population only 20% of china. their road work is so advanced since 30-40 yrs ago, even their electric car & charging all over US today.
