australia good country.
see they implementing right to disconnect. ie can don't response to your boss after office hours.
some people who gain senior positions are disorganized and they pass on their own fault for not planning by demanding their sub ordinate or peers to response off office hours. really for plan even if your counter part is on the other half of time zone things can happen according to plan.
so singapore should seriously consider implementing this right to disconnect law. so that seniors plan ahead and not react to events.

Unlike in Spore 90% of companies there are local companies, there are not many MNCs, very low chance they have to work with partners across different timezones, maybe New Zealand.
Aussies dunt have opportunities to go for business trips in overseas, even for a short business trip from
Melbourne to Sydney, everyone is fighting for it, laughable.
I dunt remember people have to answer emails and take calls after office hours when I was working there. Most people arrived in office at 6 or 7am while the official office hours start at 9am, and then they hung around around drinking coffee, having breakfast and gossiping with other colleagues for a hour plus before starting work. Then they skip lunch (unlike in Spore lunch time there is usually 30 mins), and leave office at 2pm…therefore if you want to arrange a meeting or teleconference do it before lunch as it is hard to find them after 2pm. Other colleagues who came to office at 9am will go home at 4:45pm or earlier. They do work in very slow pace and if they can’t finish today they can always do it tomorrow, and their bosses will encourage them take annual leave.
Maybe nowadays things have changed Aussies have to stay back do OT or answering calls/emails after office.

I like Australia for its wide open spaces. During my studies there, my expenses were much higher than my housemates because they cook while I was lazy to do so. 1 simple Chinese dinner at night eg just a sweet and sour pork dish with white rice can set me back by A$13-$15. Multiply that in a month
That’s for dinner only. I also eat out for breakfast and lunch. Usually burgers or salads with fries.
Some other sg students will cook fried rice. They will cook and wrap in aluminum foil and later eat the same dish for lunch and dinner. And bread for breakfast.
I couldn't do that. I would have gone insane
The pruss side is that I got more free time to walk walk look look see see heh heh heh.
