Given the latest 0.25% hike in US, can we expect banks in Sg to up FD rates again?

My friends in banking sector told me banks are expecting rates to come down soon and are not taking long deposits. It is advisable to lock in long term on the current rate if your bank accepts before the rate drops. That's what I was told and dun scold me if the rate still goes up. ....

Prior to this,  prediction was the US rate will not increase due to the recent collapse of Banks.
Thus, pretty sensible then that rates may drop.

But the rate increased instead last night, so the scenario may be different. 

Nobody knows really.

March rate is relatively lower compared with Dec rate which still got as high as 4.18/4.20. Heng I locked in at 4.18
can see the trend already going down

At a quick glance of the attached chart, banks FD interest rates did not hit 4 percentage points......................

this is for Mar 2023, in Dec 2022, it did hit 4.18/4.20

No rise then I worry. 
USD will flight for safety back to US.
