It typically takes 20,000 to 24,000 pounds per square inch (psi) of force or pressure to break a car window. That translates to about 60 pounds of force. The smaller an object is, the less force it will require to break the glass. 13 Feb 2022
Landscaping rock is quite small so it required less force to break the glass.
