Love? No monies talk what love? If MIW desire to serve the public why ask for astronomical pay so can work? Since they set e.g give them a lot of monies then do work, we peasants learn their style. Everything talk monies and wedding no exception. No monies only love will die of hunger

Yalor. Invite to chinese wedding dinner like kena summon of $200. Sian la. That's why Malay wedding at void deck got that kampong spirit l like. Just give a small token of $20, eat curry chicken rice, greet the couple, meet everyone there in a relax atmosphere.... More fun la. More about love and greetings.

I can understand that question.

Of course, it's for-profit for the hotel, that we all know, so no need to dwell further on that.

The thing is that the more the man has to spend on the banquet, the less there is for alimony should she decide to leave him after making him wear green hat.  Unfortunately, there is no provision in the Women's Charter that requires the hotel to cough back out the money.

So I would say that she had asked a very legit question.   Laughing

Maybe everybody should just buy presents as gifts or angbao cap at $100 to the couple. Like that sure no more lavish and posh wedding banquet. Then automatically wedding would be kept simple and frugal. Less wastage and environmentally friendly. 👏👏👏

The money actually goes to the 5-star hotel that ask for $3,000 per table.

The married couple have to worry whether they can cover costs or not.
