Ding Liren and Dommaraju Gukesh have distinct playing styles that influence their speed in making moves during games.
Speed of Play
Ding Liren:
Ding is known for his analytical approach, often taking considerable time to evaluate positions deeply before making a move. This methodical style can lead to time concerns, especially in faster time controls or critical moments of a game. His tendency to engage in complex calculations reflects his status as one of the best calculators in chess, but it may also result in him consuming more time than necessary in some situations.
Dommaraju Gukesh:
Gukesh, on the other hand, is recognized for his aggressive and dynamic style, which often allows him to play moves more quickly. His ability to create threats and maintain the initiative can lead to faster decision-making. Gukesh's youth and experience in rapid formats may contribute to his swifter play, allowing him to capitalize on Ding's longer deliberations.
Likely Time Concerns
Given these characteristics:
Ding Liren is more likely to face time concerns due to his analytical nature, which may slow down his decision-making process.
Gukesh is expected to manage his time better, utilizing his aggressive style to keep the pressure on Ding and potentially forcing him into time trouble.
In summary, while both players are exceptionally skilled, Gukesh's faster playstyle may give him an advantage in managing time during their matches, especially against Ding's more deliberate approach.

Not really watching the chess but mainly to see if Ding can get out of his depression that he had suffered from for the last 1+ years. He said he's better now but who knows.

Gukesh is the favorite in this match up. His game is fast and brilliant but one mistake and Ding will find it and game.over. look through his games Ding is the more accurate player with fewer mistakes

Playing chess by yourself using AI technology is fine. Playing with yourself is pleasurable, but does nothing for your brain. LOL!
