SINGAPORE — The Committee of Privileges (COP) tasked with investigating a complaint about former Sengkang Member of Parliament Raeesah Khan’s lies in Parliament on Wednesday (15 December) issued summons to three top Workers’ Party (WP) leaders over their failure to produce internal documents as requested by the COP.

In its fifth special report released on Wednesday, the COP said it had previously asked WP’s chief Pritam Singh, chair Sylvia Lim and vice chair Faisal Manap to produce documents, including internal correspondence between senior leadership concerning issues raised by the COP.

The requests were raised on various occasions from last Friday to Tuesday.

“However, Mr Pritam Singh, Ms Sylvia Lim and Mr Muhamad Faisal Bin Abdul Manap have failed and/or refused to provide them. As such, a summons was each issued to Mr Pritam Singh, Ms Sylvia Lim and Mr Muhamad Faisal Bin Abdul Manap on 15 December 2021,” the COP said in its report.

The COP will consider the responses from Singh, Lim and Faisal on the summons next Monday.

Am very sure Sengkang wil stil be under WP. Becos public can see how unfair and unjust in this interrogations process. Big bullies must be deterred and punished for their arrogance. Blessings in disguise that WP even garnered higher percentage votes for it.

Not does the PAP MPs wants to win Sengkang, but all opposition in WP, so that there will no more any opposition in Parliament.  They can do this if they can find PS, SL and FM guilty of lying that they did not ask RK to bring the lie to her grave......

I am very confident they won’t get what they want. Public are even more angered in the way COP handle the questionings. So outrightly obvious a big bully. Seeing this is so unsightly. At times, putting words into others’ mouth like forcing them to admit.

The MIW is desperate to win back SengKang, but with the way the PAP members in the COP, many here will not want them to succeed, but the reverse effect rings true - that the votes for opposition WP will win by a landslide....

Is like a replica of crowd funding when public see unfairness or injustice, many wil donate for its cause. And when such same scenarios occurs, even more votes wil goes to WP. That’s one part of human minds to interpret what is right or wrong, black or white.
