Maybe ish not just the lease itself but also selling with the brand of the kopitiam? Though do heard such shop lease alone can sell for few millions especially for void deck kopitiam kind of spaces. Though at such cost do anticipate price hike of the food sold there if the new owner continue to run the kopitiam or turn it into new restaurant or cafe.
Leemember last time in the 80s there ish a scheme from HDB to sell those void deck shops with 99yrs lease cheap at just around the 4R 5R kind of cost in that era (kind of recall ish less than 400k), quite a lot of shop owners took up this offer.
Many that do so nao can retire happily either by selling the lease for millions or at least can rent to others. Like a relative who used to run a provision shop and bought similar lease but now he had divided that spaces and managed to rent out to 3 different tenants. Believe he still got at least 40+yrs of the lease left and he ish in 80s, sure can last until he up lorry..
There was a time when the country asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things.
