Former Transport Minister S Iswaran is accused of accepting gifts including F1 tickets and a Brompton bike from two tycoons....?.

Investigations. Has be completed and case close for mths. “S'poreans have already moved to ‘other news more concerned about their immediate interests, like economy, businesses & cost of living. Public sentiment towards PAP remains largely positive. Survey conducted can most of the folks is talking coming election, after PM Wong delivered a major political speech, showed PAP enjoyed a rating among more than 1/2 of respondents. Is reasonable”.

Around 800,000 citizens born in 1973 or earlier are also set to receive a bonus of S$1,000-1,500 in their Central Provident Fund (CPF) accts, depending on their current savings. CPF is S'pore’s mandatory social security savings scheme helps working citizens set aside funds for retirement, housing, healthcare and other purposes.
Both MediSave & CPF bonuses will be automatically credited to citizens’ CPF Clapping accounts starting from Dec. 18.

Thinking SA is good if can save into retiring Acct.

SINGAPORE – All eyes are on the PAP this weekend as it gathers to renew its top decision-making body, paving the way for Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to become party chief ahead of Singapore’s next general election (GE).

On Nov 24, the ruling party’s inner circle will choose its 38th Central Executive Committee (CEC), which is re-elected every two years at the biennial People’s Action Party conference.

Political observers expect Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong to step down from the party’s top post of secretary-general, setting the stage for PM Wong to become party leader at the CEC’s next meeting. This is customarily held within a few weeks of the conference.

At that year’s PAP conference, then Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong stated his intention to step down as party chief. PAP party’s CEC is not directly related to the Govt, the 12 members elected this weekend will form the nucleus that will helm PAP heading into next GE, which must be held by November 2025. Completing the transition from 3G to 4G. SM Lee could announce this weekend that he will be handing over the party’s reins, based on past precedent.

LHL became PAP secretary-general in November 2004, three months after being sworn in as the country’s 3rd PM in August.

Party (PAP) must adapt to evolving societal needs, while Singapore navigates 'far more dangerous world': Lawrence Wong. S'pore will find it more difficult to make a living and keep itself safe with more global conflict and instability expected in the next decade.

Orderly transitions in political leadership cannot be taken for granted: SM Lee in last speech as PAP chief. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong taking over as the People's Action Party's secretary-general will complete Singapore's latest smooth leadership transition, says Lee Hsien Loong.
