if you rot inside Public sector for 20 years as Dip , depend how you carry balls. Fast already earn near 7 k
Normal ones is more than 5k at least, 6k or near 6 k some even 6+

Deg Holders wise , after 20 years already somehow near 9k , or if you carry balls well min 10k

I preferring inside Public sectors, Stat boards. Do note their yearly increment is there , every year add up till max depend on your rank.

That is a theory not in practical. 
Many will excel but fell down in mid age or stuck very fast after few years.
Especially in private sector. 
Also there are cases some 2years after Deg already exceed 6K even 8K. 

Govt sector used to able to grow stably but in last decade they gradually 
recruit base on contract.
