my estimates as below

Meta (Facebook) - 14,000
Microsoft - 1000
Apple - 0
Amazon - 0
Robinhood - 5,000
Intel - 30,000
Snapchat - 20,000
Coinbase - 50
Lyft - 5,000
Stripe - 10,000
Shopee - 25,000

110,000
say 10% from sg
so 11,500 affected locally
and say 50% FTs 6,000

6000 out of singapore soon
rental market affected

In singapore...actually MANY are no working "proper" fuĺl time jobs one...you may see them driving cars or bikes...but many are doing Delivery Jobs rather than Fulltime job....and its a time bomb for them...as many delivery platforms are slowly cutting incentivea and payout...as these platforms here are trying to gain more tractions and cutting office staffs to stay lean and reduce incentives (Grab being one of them) to reduce cashburn rate and trying to gain breakeven asap lor to maybe IPO..

the sacked
6000 FTs will compete with grab on delivery job
as they can remain in sg for 2 months

STUPID , FT the status already tell you , they are foreigner talents.
Will just go for another company and most likely get hire , partly they can accept anything and work OT no need WFH

as locals what want WFH , 4 days work days , cannot OT yet want high pay

I am sure the Govt hope for 40, 000 or 60,000 retrenchment so that they can sleep well for the next 3 months. They need this bulk to go through the new Compass Framework.

Did CECA bring the downfall of these tech giants? They either are too costly or just overrated. We all do not need so much high tech after all.
