The publicly-listed company I once worked for, made staff they intended to lay off come back on a Sunday for a CSR event. They were told after the program was over that they couldn't take their 1-day-off-in-lieu the next day owing to work exigencies. At the end of Monday, the affected staff were informed that they were laid off, and given till that evening to pack their belongings. That is lower than low. It triggered my decision to leave before I get treated in the same manner.
