Just another kind of structured trading product offered by the Institution for trading.  For traders who have a risk appetite and are not for ordinary retailers who wanted to safe tradings.   Similar products are the call and put warrants traded in SGX except  DLC has fixed leverage of up to 7 times whereas warrants can be as high as 10 times.  Both have expiry dates.

I modelled those warrants on SGX the pricing isi so bad they are just a scam. The company selling it is selling 50cts fair price at $2. I wouldn't trust these same companies to design structured products ...you are better off with futures or CFD as cost structure is not good but transparent.

Never ever buy call and put warrants listed on SGX. They are just scams.

I will not trust these banks with a structured product after studying the call and put warrants designed by them.

It is likely DLC is just another scam with hidden cost. If market is in your favor you make but when it moves equally against you lose much more. Its likely you buy a 7x long product it is 6.8x when it goes up and 7.7x when it goes down. they rip you many rounds as market move up and down.......

It is asymmetric nature that earns tons of money for the banks. ...it is much worse than casino gambling because you can calculate the odds at casino 

these products are toxic don't ever buy.

When you buy a DLC from the issuer bank ask yourself how the bank makes money from the DLC it sells you.

Obviously the bank is not there to do charity work it is there to make money. It is making money at your expense so before you buy this the first question to ask is how the bank makes money..

Just like when we play roulette at casino we know there are zeros that makes betting on even and odd less than 50%. ..and that is how the casino makes money from gamblers.

Typically such structured products are worse than gambling at casino.

Because short term movement is random and you lose more when you guess wrongly

trade dlc on indices is safer v v rare index 1 dy drop 20%
only when dropped 20% the airbag trigged
