The Swiss company that manages Nord Stream 2 declared its insolvency

The company Nord Stream 2 AG, a company based in the Swiss canton of Zug, declared itself insolvent and its 106 employees were fired, the cantonal economic manager Silvia Thalmann-Gut said today, AFP informs, quoted by Agerpres.

Nord Stream 2 AG is registered in Switzerland but is owned by the Russian energy group Gazprom. The Russian giant paid half of the construction costs of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, estimated at 11 billion dollars, and the other half by the partners in this project: Shell, OMV, Engie, Uniper and Wintershall DEA.
