Cities in Arizona, Nevada, Texas & California hit record highs in temperature

Phoenix and Las Vegas on Friday reported record daily highs, according to the NWS. Arizona's capital city reached 113 degrees, surpassing its previous record of 111 set in 1978. Las Vegas hit 109, breaking the previous record, set in 1996, by 1 degree.

More daily records fell on Saturday, this time in Texas, according to the weather service:

- Waco hit 104 degrees, reaching that temperature on the earliest recorded date in history and surpassing the previous mark of 103 from 1911.
- Austin also topped out at 104, besting the previous record of 101 last recorded in 2012 at Camp Mabry.
- El Paso broke last year's record by 1 degree, reaching 107 degrees.
- Abilene also climbed to 107, breaking the previous high of 105 set in 2012.
- Amarillo reached a high of 106, topping the old record of 102 from 2008.

Two records fell Friday in California: Paso Robles, on the state's central coast between Los Angeles and San Francisco, reached 106 degrees, topping the previous record of 105 from 1991, and Lancaster, in northern L.A. County, hit 104, breaking a 1985 record by 1 degree.

Good for oil stock, oil gg higher as more use air con and if it is too cold because of climate change, then all on heater
good for oil too, both too hot or too cold.

Buy oil and nergy stock now, still not too late.
