Title thread misleading. The transport hike has been in the planning even before Tharman became president. LTA needs the money for road , rail improvements. So money has to come from somewhere. Unfortunately it’s from our pockets. Ministers, MPs all have their own luxurious cars. So they can’t be bothered by the increase.

Actually it is 64.5% increase. This is actually outrageous. Such an increase we have never heard before. The last time water price increased by around 30%, people already complain like mad.
