Last week, Taiwan announced plans to increase its total defense spending to a record NT$606.8 billion (US$19.1 billion), equivalent to 2.6 percent of GDP.

Singapore has announced a 2023 defence budget of SGD17.98 billion (USD13.4 billion)

Where got higher? 

Taiwan cannot buy, so invite foreigners with technology to build for them.

They would love to buy the F15, F35, Germany submarine if possible. Which cost more than self build weaponry. But with tested performance. 

However, Taiwanese spent alot more than SG in purchasing of weaponry because they have much more in quantity.
