I rarely eat KFC maybe once every 2-3 months. After not eating for a 2 months I will get this odd craving for it. My last KFC meal was 3 months ago in JB.
Yesterday the craving came and j went to the nearby mall to order 2 piece chicken meal. The price? $9.80 ...I swore it was much cheaper when I last ate it in Singapore ...but what really passed me of was this:
One of the 2 pieces was a miserable chicken wing. Not only that in Malaysia I get an extra bun that is missing from the Singapore version of the 2 piece meal. I have never been served chicken wing for 2 piece meal in Malaysia.
In Malaysia the 2 piece meal costs RM$14 (S$4) that's 2.5 times cheaper than in Singapore.
I guess the same goes for housing(5x cheaper), cars (8x cheaper).
There is a diminishing returns of higher income when cost of living rises even faster to negate these gains. Its like running faster to no where.
You can tell them don’t give me chicken wing lah. I want “whole” chicken.
Eating KFC chicken, even once, increases your chances of sudden death by 40% over the next 48 hours.
Go jb eat restaurant foods better lah.
Not eating for 2-3 months means rare? I've not eaten KFC chickens for at least 10 years.

Are you sure a KFC 2 piece meal goes for only RM14 in Malaysia?
From what I can see on their official website, ala carte 2 piece chicken is already RM17 and the meal is RM21.

Time for u to move back to muar liao
Always ask for chicken thighs first. Cannot then 1 thigh 1 breast...die die then take 2 breast...chicken wing has the least amount of meat..the bones outweighs the meat

Oh wow, didn't know Johor is so much cheaper. Always thought they were one of the most expensive / richest states in Malaysia...
Does this mean KFC prices even lower in poor states such as Kelantan, Pahang or Terengganu? Anyone visited KFC in these states before care to share?
I totally get what you mean about those occasional KFC cravings! It's interesting how prices and portions can vary between countries. Speaking of exploring food, I've been having a blast discovering new places to eat in Singapore lately. Branchesofsingapore has been my go-to resource for finding some hidden gems. It's true that the cost of living can differ significantly from place to place, and it's all about finding that balance between income and expenses. Sometimes, it feels like a never-ending race. But hey, at least we have good food to keep us going!
