i know someone who passed away from cancer recent. the doc was shock how come the therapy got no effects on the cancer.

I'd attended the most number of wakes last year.
Among them were 4 relatives - uncles in 2 in late 70s, one 80s and one 90s.
2 of them died of cancer (kidney cancer was sudden onset and while throat cancer was diagnosed a year earlier).
A 3rd one (90s) with almost failed kidneys also got some form of cancer but died following a fall (or maybe a stroke induced fall).
4th one also died following a fall.
That is 3 out of 4 got cancer whereas none of my grandparents batch died of cancer.
