China is not going to attack the US, however it wants to show to the US that China can’t be bullied and dunt mess around in SCS and Taiwan Strait, obviously Biden and Pentagon get worried over China’s successful test of hypersonic weapon that no way the US can intercept if the war breaks out.

Is  the firing of the hypersonic missile to frighten US and it a warning to tell US not to interfere in the political landscape of Taiwan and SCS...? Thinking

kind of...China might attack the US base in Guam if the US gets involved in the war in Taiwan Strait. The US Congress passed a bill to give big loan to Taiwan each year to buy more weapons from the US, which Taiwan doesn’t want and also can’t afford.
selling outdated yet expensive weapons yes, but defending tw for what?

Taiwan wants to keep their status quo, the independence it enjoys thru' the decades, therefore they are prepared to fight tooth and nail to achieve that.... Tired
U don't talk logic to the West.

The best logic is gun, missiles which shoot cheaper, faster and better. These Kia See angmo then will think better on the table.

DPP garment under English Tsai wants to change the status quo by removing Dr Sun’s portraits from the wall, shutting down CKS Memorial Hall, demolishing Chiang’s statue & dumping Chiang’s body, changing school’s history textbook to remove all Chinese history, shortening ROC history from 110 years to 72 years, changing passport cover design and eventually changing the  national anthem and flag, which many Taiwanese are opposing.

The US just wants to be the policemen of the world.  With this war looming large, US intends to sell huge amounts of fire-arms to Taiwan.  It is reported that Taiwan had ordered 150 F-16 fighter jets from US... Surprised Baring_teeth Mad

Makes me wonder why Chinese can't build their own chips if they already can advance in space and weaponry systems...

China has just completed building Aircraft Carrier #3...going to build #4 and #5 shortly.

If you had served NS in the SAF, you should be aware that military-grade connectors (eg signal sets) are thick n bulky as they are subjected to harsh environment (dust, vibrations n shocks), unlike consumer-grade connectors like the USB-type C.

So likewise for chips, too small a circuitry will increase risk of interference from strong RF signals and in space, radiation too. Thus won't be surprised if some military and space grade chips are fabricated at 90nm.

Supposedly 14nm chips should be viable next year while 5-7nm chips will not be an issue once the Chinese come out with a viable EUV light source.

I see, so they can't manufacture very tiny stuff and don't need to for military and space related? I always thought that the more complex and precised means they definitely need to go tiny to save space and energy...
the us had gone to the moon in the 60s without any of today's advanced technologies. so these technologies although useful but not a must

NASA’s moonlanding was fake, NASA says they dunt go back to the moon as they lost the technology over the years. laughable! Rotfl

because certain old techniques cannot be done using the latest technologies?

My PRC said they can make it but not economical because semiconductor is huge money burning.
