Malaysia has plenty of income.  Just that a lot of it flow into politicians' and their cronies pockets.

Singapore does not have the full facilities. Better not host it.

Malaysia is rich in natural resources including high grade petroleum and exports most of it. The money ends up in certain pockets instead of it being spent on development of the country. Najib and Jho Low are prime examples.

Cohost using existing facilities also cannot guarantee profits
without impressive coordinating.
