Feb 20, 2024SINGAPORE — A total of 136 persons died from traffic accidents in 2023, with more fatal accidents caused by red-light running, speeding and drink-driving, the police said on Tuesday (Feb 20).

Must be stricter for safety for all.

There has been an increase in drink-driving accidents from 175 in 2022 to 180 last year in SG. The number of deaths from drink-driving accidents also saw a marginal increase from 10 in 2022 to 11 in 2023. The penalties have to be stricter before SG becomes like the US where drunken drivers cause mayhem on their roads, resulting in death and serious injuries.

Just pray one of the love ones from one of the 83 get knocked or kill by a drunken then only changes will comes in.

me believe many drivers out there are driving without licence or licence suspensed.

It is impossible to catch those drivers without Singapore license or those with converted license. There is no way our Govt is capable of solving these 2 groups of drivers.
