China failed to perform well in a number of the sports including table tennis and badminton, still managed to get more gold medals than the US.
China had failed this time in a lot of their favourite events. Perhaps complacent.

Many Chinese are getting soft. I've met many who believe they should enjoy their lives instead of working so hard. The good thing is they have a huge population so there're still many who work hard, though this number is dwindling.
Never mind, no matter win or lose, white trash mouthpiece and those goat-ball licking media will always fake white trash as the "The Greatest all the time". lol

Many Chinese adults may have gotten soft, but the talented kids in elementary schools spotted by scouts are 'whisked off' - with parental consent - to special schools to undergo regimented training in the sport they are good at. China has a lot of scouts with a good eye for new talent.

The youngsters start with nothing but raw talent and determination. Green but eager to learn, they do their drills and put on a strict exercise regime while continuing their academic studies. Those skinny are put on a high-protein diet to beef up. They participate in competitions regularly to sharpen their skills, and for their coaches to gauge their abilities, with the best of the bunch representing their provinces or municipalities. Naturally, the cream of the crop will go on to represent the state after graduating from the school of hard knocks that has taught them how to be tough.

Professionalism has immensely raised the standard of sport in China. And with a large and talented sporting pool, it's hardly surprising that the Middle Kingdom has topped the Olympic medal table.

Everybody loves a winner but a loser will find few admirers. When Schooling"s efforts at winning an Olympic medal came to nought - he came in last in his 100m fly heat - unkind remarks and debates about him started coming thick and fast. Such unpleasantness would not have occurred if he had stood on the rostrum to collect a medal.

Someone commented that Schooling's Olympic record-breaking gold won in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio was a one-hit wonder. While that is true, his acquisition of two Asiad golds are also worthy of mention. No matter how you slice it, Olympic medalists on the world's biggest stage are worth their weight in gold.

Schooling was a world-beating swimmer, and his glittering gold, albeit a one-hit wonder, is SG's most valuable and proudest sporting achievement. Such an astonishing feat has etched his name in history and put our little red dot on the map. It may never be replicated in generations to come.
Oh no ..... I heard some white hill billy white traxhes Cowboy  worshippers kow peh PRCunts stole the gold medals .... how?  Laughing
