Praising Russian missile systems in his speech, Putin said, “There is currently no way to counter Russian Oreshnik missiles. Modern air defense systems cannot intercept Oreshnik missiles, these missiles attack their targets at a speed of Mach 10, which means 2.5 to 3 kilometers per second.”

Referring to US President Joe Biden’s permission for Ukraine to use US-made weapons in attacks on Russian territory, Putin said, “The US is pushing the entire world towards a global conflict. We believe that the US made a mistake by unilaterally terminating the agreement on the elimination of medium- and short-range missiles in 2019 under a forced pretext.”

Emphasizing that they will respond in kind if the missile attacks on Russian territory continue, Putin said, “In the event of an escalation of aggressive actions, we will give a decisive and reciprocal response. I recommend that the ruling elites of the countries that are planning to use their military units against Russia seriously consider this.”
