The provocative post, made on Wednesday morning local time, was amplified by Vice President J.D. Vance, who last week stunned European leaders with a speech in Munich suggesting their real adversary was not Russia or China but “the enemy within”, referring to censorship and mass migration.
France said it did not understand the logic of Trump’s remark that Ukraine was to blame for Russia’s invasion.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov lauded Trump for saying the US’s previous support of Ukraine’s bid to join the NATO military alliance was a major cause of the war in Ukraine.

In response to Trump’s comments, Hochul issued a statement, saying: “We are a nation of laws, not ruled by a king.” She added: “Public transit is the lifeblood of New York City and critical to our economic future – as a New Yorker, like president Trump, knows very well.”

Americans are simply sick of bearing the burden of a war that has little to do with them, hence they elected Trump and Vance who are openly against providing support to Ukraine. Upon receiving electoral mandate, Trump and Vance then proceeded to get out of the war with the flimsiest excuse because the American people wouldn't care as well.
Whether this is a good idea from a longer term geopolitical perspective is debatable, but wasting bandwidth discussing about the morality of supporting the war is idiotic. Nobody cares. Fact of the matter is US wants out because Americans want out, Russia wants out as long as it can grab as much land as possible and return to the global trading ecosystem. As for Ukraine, the Ukrainians erroneously believed they could any how vote and do revolution because "it can't get worse", they and their future generations now learn the hard truth.
As for the Europeans, they are still living in lala land while the world moves on. I wouldn't be surprised if they slowly descend towards third world country status in the next couple of decades.
