Huawei has achieved capability to produce 14nm chips without US tech, so guess this should be the reason for the return of the of Huawei Kirin CPU with 5G end of this year.
Huawei has also raised its 2023 handphone sales target from 30mln to 40mln.
 
In Mar this year, Huawei had also announced its self-developed EDA tools for 14nm chips,
so next milestone will be further improvement of its set of tools n processes for 5-7nm chips while waiting for China's own EUV litho machine that should come online next year.
