Thailand has no choice, many workers are out of jobs and some committed suicide...if it remains lockdown its economy will suffer badly...many other countries may also do the same despite surge of Covid cases.

unlike Spore Thailand heavily depends on tourism.
Most places are already kaput ..... even the ladyboy all have beard liow
Must wait for at least 6mths to a year to see the situation
Most blue collar working thais can go back to their home farm and still survive no problem. Durian all year round can pluck. Wont starve. What they scare is many are in some small or big debt.

The hard part is fillig the timetable with moving targets. good time any  standardised ite can do. Big Grin
The thing is that Thailand already has so many cases, it doesn't matter whether they import virus or not. Same thing with Malaysia.

Tourists should be scared of going, not they scared of tourists.
Not a good thing as Thailand has one of the highest HIV rate (1.1%) in SE Asia.
HIV carriers have weakened immune system and can host the Covid virus for much longer duration thus allowing it to mutate.
With more tourists coming in from all over the world carrying all the current variants, Thailand will become a large cauldron brewing all these variants. Sooner or later, stronger ones will emerge.
