Why are there so many CPF scams when there are zero EPF scams in Malaysia and zero MPF scans in Hong Kong ...?

Because they are very thoughtful not to link PayNow to the CPF accounts of elderly who are vulnerable to scams.  Only in Singapore they do something so risky and thoughtless.

Retirees have plenty of time to go to CPF office to take their money out which is like once in a lifetime or apply for regular withdrawals...what is the problem?

Nobody asked for this unnecessary but high risk PayNow link which is automatically activated giving scammer a means to steal CPF funds. And they never design enough safeguards around it to prevent malware penetration.

CPF should compensate these losses because it implemented a system that is flawed snd not safe..
So blame on android phones?

Do we expect 60yo elderly to be security experts who understand all the security issues. If not we have to design systems tahg have safeguards. Just like medicine they have tk be safe before consumer can take. Just like food ...authorities have tl take action when it is unsafe.

Android is what CPF chooses to develop its app and platform.

CPF is responsible to ensure all.safeguards in place.

If ther are new ways hackers can steal CPF sums like through paynow they should remove this immediately until they find a way to protect elderly.

The Singapore govt is the one who wants to encourage elderly to be online....security cannot be an after thought.
Look at paynow itself it should be allowed for sums less than 50 only because it does.need a. separate device for OTP

Restrict to 50$ per transaction by default and 10 transaction a day.

Those who want to risk their savings should be made to do a separate application to increase limit.

Many implementations are just thoughtless from security perspective. They assume Android is a rock solid system but it is not true.
Why so easy to scam everyone with just some simple apps and qr codes? Cpf must be held responsible for its carelessness of its app being so easily copied.
The problem is with singkees lah, not whatever apps. Even fake stuff they see on Youtube they aso believe, especially videos made by self proclaimed experts.
Nincompoop son don't know IT security

Only know how to write some stupid coding

Agree. Stop Paynow for CPF now. Who ask for it anyway.
I took alot of trouble took all my mom saving a counts off.line.cut of from Internet leaving only one.with small amount for paynow/paylah

Now I have this new worry of CPF moneys being put online and getting stolen by scammers
is it possible to register your smartphone serial number with cpf and or bank?
so only the phone u are using and be used to withdraw the money
this method ensure
the only way for scammers to steal your money is to steal your phone FIRST....
No money also worry
Got money also worry

Agree. There should be a max cumulative transfer per day limit and per month limit too.
For a fund transfer above the max limit, the banks must put it on hold and require the account holder to visit an ATM to approve the fund "release".
By the time Shoot Blank Queen an Tharman is ready for PayNow

half of the population would have been made bankrupt due to scams

Vote her OUT.
Is there a way to set the daily limit for paynow?
