I have seen those ah- Soh in their 60s throw tissue on the floor as they walk outside. When I told them off, they just don’t care and look at you.

Please show their photos around the vicinity so that we can help to remind them in public.

RE: Singapore may publicise images of litterbugs to catch offenders - Wy:Nox - 05-03-2024

I sincerely hope that the Govt can show me the face of this person. He has been hanging one plastic bag a day for the past 8 or 12 mths that I can remember from Mondays to Fridays.

RE: Singapore may publicise images of litterbugs to catch offenders - Ola - 05-03-2024

We have so many CCTV Camera

Can easily catch even Grab Riders who are at the red traffic lights

They drink water and throw the bottles onto the plants

RE: Singapore may publicise images of litterbugs to catch offenders - Ola - 05-03-2024

PAP just need to catch 20 or 40 people and fine them $1000

put their faces in the news and others will get to know

But under disGrace, enforcement is weak as usual

RE: Singapore may publicise images of litterbugs to catch offenders - Wy:Nox - 05-03-2024

The possibility of catching them is likely 1% only. I suppose that is why they failed for the past 10 years.

Your 3 or 4 times Reminder will never work at all

I told a grandpa for more than 50 times in the last 6 or 7 years

He also cannot change due to his stubborn bad habits

Fine them $500 X 4 times and then put them on Monthly Corrective Clean- up for 5 years

is a better solution

The National Environment Agency (NEA) issued about 19,000 tickets for littering last year, which is almost double the number in 2013. Thirty-one per cent of these tickets were issued to non-residents.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 2013, only 1/3 population of Foreigners

Now 2024, around 2/3 population of Foreigners (including those PRs and their children)

So most of them are Foreigners who litter

Best is to deduct fines from their CPF accounts so that they can feel the pain

Parents are fully responsible to build good habits in a child since young. However, some parents do not bother at all. Mother walking with daughter can throw her unfinished bubble tea on the floor and walk away. Maybe we should also fine the parents for lack of upbringing.

Fines will work if they can be caught every time.

Corrective Order to change their habits will work if it is monthly for 1 year.

Billboard on the road will never be effective unless you put the A4 Reminders at their door every mth.

Add- Company they work for should be informed of their personal disease.

This was first used by China, where jaywalker's face will be displayed on a screen at a traffic light. Apparently, this has quite a deterring effect.

RE: Singapore may publicise images of litterbugs to catch offenders - wendychan - 09-03-2024

people should read carefully..
obviously the photos they show will come from a source like video recording and more than likely from a govt camera...

it wont be any tom dick and Harry's video or camera photo
