It is scary to be sentenced to a death penalty, cos they don't hang you immediately, they will wait a day when you least expected that they will send you to the gallows......

It is not already death penalty. The judge can decide to give a few years or life imprisonment.

If he plan it, the judge will likely give the death sentence. If not plan, then maybe few years.
The gang fight at downtown east also no death sentence even though the poly boy died.
But it is up to the judge.

To the father,maybe taking care of the autistic boys for 11 years feel like a death penalty already. Any sentence from the court might come as a reprieve for him.

We should also be sympathetic to the man as well. Not easy to kill own children unless driven to extreme desperation. He raised the 2 kids for 11 years and then takeaway their lives. The situation must be real dire to make him do that. Hope the court would apply compassion and discretion if there is a sad story behind the killing. Should think for his daughter and wife who lost so many family members at the same time.

It is definitely very emotionally draining.
Looking after a sick parent would still have an End Date which is when the parent eventually dies.
Looking after someone who is younger than you, like your son...it's for life. You have to look after both of them till the day you die. It's no joke.

It's much worse than that, as autistic child can be disruptive and demanding of all sorts of trivial things añd some hurt themselves all the time

Last year, a father killed his grown up daughter who begins to demand too much and even threaten tó kill her parents if they do ñot sell their hdb and give her the proceeds
I dont know what happen to the case, i think the father was sent to jsil for a minimum time on account of this background
The court did the right thing
There was also añother case of the mother not willing to report on her son, but got beaten and slaved by her son until the nephew reported the son when the nother sought refuge at her sister's place, something like that

In the animal kingdom, if the offspring is weak or sick, the parent will either eat it or dispose it. We humans are less fortunate as we still have to adhere to the social moral obligation and ethics.

Judge here and Hell Judge must know that those are not ordinary kids. Tremendous efforts and full energy to devote to looking after the kids. Never easy to see a church friend minding her boy who just freaked out with so many people around. Rumour had it decades ago before China opened up, docs will give injections to babies born of not the normal type because it will be a social cost to the commi.
