Cyclist-pedestrian crash — was condo exit's proximity to footpath a factor? - ArielCasper - 16-04-2022

Instead of finding ways to to cramp down on cyclist, what we seem here is pushing the blame to pedestrian..

Next time you step out of your flat, need to watch for cyclist coz who know your neighbour or grab driver might be cycling and knock into you, and it's still your fault.

In that case, why should the condo door open inward (the photo), should just open outward, if hit cyclist, blame them for not slowing down near condo door.

If an exit gate is next to cycling path and cyclist is not familiar with area he will not have enough time to react.

The onus is on the people exiting the condo to check

Not possible for cyclist to see person coming out.
it is a bad design.

The best is to put hump before entrance and side road that got zebra crossing, like those u found around primary school.
Anyway vechicle need to slow down at side road. some idiot just refuse to stop for predestrian.

Put road hump here is the best , they qwill have to slow down no matter what.
