One of its electric buses "made contact with a pedestrian who is visually impaired" on a pedestrian crossing, Toyota said in a statement.

Quite surprising that Toyota can fail this basic but very important test case for self-driving.

A setback to toyota, but overall trend for public bus towards autonomous would not change.
