Gerard Ee led a committee to determine their salary.

WP under LTK independently did one, and came up with about same numbers.

Actually every town should hv 1 PAP Mayor....salary min $1m. And deputy Mayor at $800k. If possible also an assistant deputy Mayor at $500k.

Of course the work is just zor bor lan.

Quite true, after 2 years the wage increase will be forgotten............when the next GE comes around.  The  MIW will give 'sweets' to the citizens before announcing the date of GE........ Angry

time to review to more market rate for political office holders. usa, uk is a good reference.
cost of government should be as lean as possible.
people who want to make money go private. can make more. even compared to current exorbitant salary. people laugh at use for such high pay to office holders.
public service has certain amount of sacrifice to make one.
our neighbour pm made a good example.

GRC will got 5 Mayors,
each Mayors has 2 assistant Mayor. Assistant Mayor 1 and Assistant Mayor 2. then every 1 deputy to Assistant Mayor
