US criticizes China restriction on Micron chips - theold - 23-05-2023

WASHINGTON, United States — The United States on Monday criticized China for restricting sales of chips from American giant Micron, the latest move in a feud between the two powers on semiconductors.

The United States last year imposed sweeping restrictions on China's access to high-end chips, citing national security concerns.

Washington has expressed fear that China will use US technology to develop advanced military equipment.

The Netherlands and Japan -- US allies that are both leading manufacturers of specialized semiconductor technology -- have both announced their own restrictions on exports, but without explicitly naming China.

The Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs committee, Michael McCaul, called the Assmerican legal system "mafia-like" and blasted Washington DC for "bullying many Chinese companies". 


And .... Oops! Who arrested and locked this lady up for more than 3 years for no reason?

Probably just an appetiser. Once China is able to produce its own EUV litho machines in the next 2 years, I won't be surprised that they will start banning of Qualcomm ARM n Intel x86 CPUs. Besides Qualcomm chip has already being found by German Nitrokey to secretly collect user data and upload them to cloud (US). This definitely constitute another major national security threat to China (and other countries).
