The best person to know is Actuarists
When claims go up they know.
It is just Business
They cannot operate at a loss.
Another without Insurance there is no Banking

for the past years my results had been ok. but not this time round when abnormality was detected.

GE has option to enhance one's CPF DPS protection.
The premium for those 34yo and below is still very low.
E.g. only $78 per year for an enhanced CPF DPS coverage of $300K (quite worthwhile to signup imo).

Their premium for the oldest bracket (60-64yo) is $1,625, which means less than 1 in 185 will die each year.
However just in the past 3 months, 3 acquaintance of mine had passed away.
Two were in their 50s (both cardiac arrest) while the 3rd in mid 60s.
The 3rd guy had complained of chest discomfort prior to his death and fainted at home on a Mon.
His wife was beside him then and was sent to a public hospital A&E (long queue to get a bed).
Somehow the hospital doctors did not detect any serious underlying cause and he was discharged on Wed (or Thu) with some meds (I guess statin, aspirin etc) plus a doc review in 3 or 6 months time. But he collapsed in his toilet that very Sunday. It was too late when his family forced opened the toilet door.

now got died in HDB flat die in car until really rotten meat
