The Embassy of the United States of America appealed to its citizens not to enter the territory of Ukraine, and to leave it immediately if they have not done so yet. Note that the USA even before the beginning of the Russian invasion and after it regularly gave such recommendations to its citizens.

Well...the Yanks did the same thing with Afghanistan for over 20 years at over 2 trillion USD..
I supposed Ukraine is just Kacang Puteh to the Americans since this enterprise so far seems more profitable by fuelling war in Europe than going to fight one yourself.

Word has it that Russia bought/captured few of the 12 Himars that the West delivered and used in Ukraine against Russian troops and civilians
And rumours abound that the West is worried Russia will use those Himars to fire unto the US Embassy in Kiev
So by moving to Lviv, the US Embassy hopefully will be off range
