Smelly ahneh and his lists
But to be fair, by looking at his 4 pts about Singapore he is just being factual. If we don’t put our own emotional bias into the list.
My profusely sweating kkj nods in agreement

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine

How would you expect one from the other side of culture to appreciate a developed country with advance infrastructure, and technology?

In the slideshow, he summarised his opinion of Singapore in four bullet points:
"It's a very small country, not much to do, could do everything within two to three days."
"Very expensive, especially considering it's in Southeast Asia."
"Felt like it's a bit too westernised, didn't really get the vibe it was an Asian country."
"The weather was also unbearable, way too hot and humid."
Based on the survey criteria he used, we wouldn't do well.
If a different set is used, we could even take top spot.
The Singapore miracle is worth coming to see. A Malay girl wearing the burqa and an Indian girl wearing the sari aren't exactly Westernized wor. Granted the Hans are wearing Made in China one piece dress currently (in fashion nao) but we do have 45% foreigners who bring in diverse cultures.
I guess it's because of the Han Singaporeans that's why tourists think we are a Chinese city which has abandoned our roots. The Malays and Indians have retained theirs though there are noticeable Arabic influence on the Malays.
The ubiquitous 麻辣香锅 or mala for ease of saying it also makes us look like a Chinese city. The writer didn't see those BIG Chinese characters on sign boards that were cut to fit? Are those Western food?
How about the fake mookata which is very popular with the zoomers? Western?
I can write a book but that's not necessary. The Tamil kor kor should be editing his comments if he comes to Sgtalk and sees how many China fanbois aka human bear rampar wumao there are, and he'd know we ain't too Westernised up in the brain. They are supporting Russia because of said bear. They spit at Biden like cobras. Hardly Westernised right.

Agree cannot compare our prices to European, western countries. we are in Asia must compare to Asian. European western union salaries are so much higher justifies high costs/prices. Here salary?

This Tamil guy probably misses the smell of faeces that any visitor to India gets in his nose, the moment he leaves the airport.

It must be a culture shock for this Tamil visitor to actually experience a clean, modern and vibrant city compared to the shit hole he is used to.

What a coincidence, Britain is in my bottom 4 countries too. Very expensive especially considering how everything is so run down. Felt a bit too South Asian, didn't really get the vibe that it is in Europe.

How come this Tamil guy bad mouthed Singapore? Thought they love LKY and even wanted to build a statue of LKY in their village.
Thinking is difficult, that's why most people judge

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Perhaps he is traveling around the world on a short budget. So he can’t have much money on him. That’s why he finds this red dot expensive.🤣🤣🤣 He can go back to his slum village.
tomorrow will be a better day
